is the name of a river in northern Italy. In Acient Rome, nobody was allowed to cross the River Rubicon with army to approach Rome. They wanted to prevent a military coup. Law itself, however, didn't always rule everybody. Julius Caesar who had created western history also broke the rule. He said when he crossed the Rubicon, "Alea iacta est. (Latin: "The die has been cast") He had won the civil war and left another famous quotation, "Veni, vidi, vici." (Latin: "I came, I saw, I conquered.")
